Some people would call it a worthless destructive piece of nunk.
It killed over 20 white tails, plus several coyotes and I think it is still beautiful piece of work! It was made in 1973 by the Fajen company near Sedlia , MO.

"It killed" ?
That would make it the first actual "assault rifle".

I have three -- two M1903A3s and a sporterized nickel steel M1903. The latter is in .35 Brown-Whelen, the most radical form of the Whelen.
I like the full length Manlichher type stock.
I have no problems with a well made sporter as long as the original wasn't some rare "special" rifle.
MY "Goobermint Model Sporter", a Lee Enfield no5 Mk1 "Jungle Carbine", I bought it with the bayo lug removed & completely refinished, including a nicely done re-blue job so it had zero collector value.
Scope is a Swift 3~9X40 & the 5-round semi-flush magazine is a "Santa Fe 5-rounder.
