Default A young Lady is lovingly re-creating a 230' work of Art ...

She's spent six years with five to go before it's finished.
    Leaves me speechless.

I've been to Bayeux many times & seen the original, both in its original home (which is now the Medieval Society) & its new climate controlled one.
It Is a magnificent thing, & kudos to her for her replicating it.
Usually the views published of it are the more colorful & detailed bits. It was made by a group of ladies whose husbands were "away at the wars" to keep them busy (& out of mischief too)
Some were more diligent than others! there are sections hat are barely a "layout sketch" with little color or character!
I'm embarrassed to admit that most of my visits to Bayeux were for cheese, garlic sausage & wine!

Thanks for posting. I can't comprehend how folks put that much work into something so beautiful. Nice to have someone respond who actually knows what it is. Me? As a little kid I spent a couple of weeks digging a ditch for no reason. So I kind of get it. But if I had the ability and determination.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
