    Default REcommend a rear sight for a Series 70 Colt Combat Commander...

    in 9MM, for an adjustable rear sight and using the Standard front sight?

    using the existing front and the existing rear dove tail with out mods?

    Brownell's sells the L.P.A. adjustable rear sight which is advertised to work without altering the slide, but you will have very limited elevation adjustment.

    Once upon a time I had a very nice Model 70 w/ a MMC rear sight. Worked beautifully!!! Sincerely. bruce.

    Back in the 1960s and 70s some gunsmiths would install Smith & Wesson revolver sights. This provided a very low but fully adjustable rear sight. The late "Skeeter" Skelton had this set up on his carry M1911.

    It requires a lot of gunsmithing and is not cheap. I suspect it would also be hard to find anyone now who would do the work. It was a really neat set up when done right though.
