    Default My 1868?s.

Well, I caught some type of killer flu around Christmas (Alpha variant) that has aged me quite rapidly and took around 30 pounds off of me because I’ve had no desire to eat for about a month.
I have survived though and will recover.
If this hits me again, I?m done for.
So, by and by, before that happens, I?ll probably be selling my 1868?s one by one or all together some time.
I?m light headed now, but I believe there are four of them.
They represent the largest personal collection of 1868/1868?s.
Took me almost 50 years to find them all.
If anyone is interested in purchasing them all, don’t be shy. I’ll listen to all offers. No need to go through Gunbroker

Here is what this flu has done to me. Guess I?m not easy to kill.
You gotta beat me to death with a stick!

    Hello Fred
I hope you fully recover and don't have to sell your collection, While I am not interested in that model I am sure there are some who would jump at the chance to own one

Hang in there my neighbor just told he had something very similar and lost 35 pounds, he got it just after Christmas as well.

    I?m trying Dick.
My kidney?s are still working and my urine is no longer dark brown. Deep yellow, but I?m forcing myself to drink water.
I was hallucinating for weeks and still am.
My wife has it as bad.
today I was able to pull my ass onto the old 62 John Deere and using the rear forks, stab two one ton bales and with my wife?s help keeping the horses back with a whip and get them into the feeder.
They hadn?t been fed for awhile. Two of them are pregnant. We?ve only four hors s left out of our old herd of 32 which makes it easier to keep them fed.
truth be known, both of us should be in a hospital, but it doesn?t work out for anyone to abandon our animals. We?ve 8 Rough Collies to care for as well and one of them is pregnant with 7 pups.
as long as we can breath we gotta keep moving.

So sorry to hear about your illness Fred. Gods speed to a full recovery to both you and your wife. I recently had the omicron variant that only lasted about a week and a half. I was able to eat, never had a temperature but just had that sickly feeling. The only good thing about having it was that I was actually able to sleep which is something I wish was still had lol! For the longest time I cannot sleep a full night, wake up between 1 and 3 very night.
Hopefully you’ll be able to keep your collection Fred. Should you find it necessary though I may be interested in one of them if you would be willing to separate them.

    Thank you kindly Carl.
I’m waiting to see if another gentleman will be interested in them as a group.
If he doesn’t respond. I’ll begin considering other offers.
Once the four 1868/1868’s are split up, there’ll not be another such grouping together of early 1868’s.
I’m going to take photo’s of them and post them here.

    Your welcome Fred.
I had sent you an email to the address you posted above. Should the gentleman not respond feel free to write back to my email.
Would be nice if they stay as a group, they are all beautiful rifles.
