One was brought into a local gun shop a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get there in time to see it, but according to owner it had all the proper paperwork.
been lusting for one over the past 40 yrs, or so,
I've thought of making one,, but never seem to take the time
There is a guy in Carson City NV that makes something very close to this. The barrel is an integral part of the silencer. Is chambered in .45 Colt. My cousin is a class 3 dealer.
Do you recall a long while back a couple of kit builders comparing notes? Both had feed issues. Helpful insight but terrible as sales hype.
Have you a leaning towards one kit over another? Is there even a choice anymore?
Now there is another issue to contend with. Back then a donor rifle only cost $69 to $89.

never read much good about any of the kits,
at the time I was contemplating it , I was in a machine shop class (back in the 90's,) and was going to use a donor as and free hand one, so to speak,
every now and again I get the same itch, but it goes away quickly,
I've seen a couple or real deal models thru the years, but never had the chance to shoot one,
would be easy to do the barreled receiver, the 1911 mag part seems to me to be the hardest part,
now you got me thinking again,, I have a sported No1 Mk 111 in inventory,,,, and a mill and lathe,
plenty of 1911 mags,,,
walking away,, briskly,,,
You must have some spare parts lying about. Then there are those stripped DP barreled actions over at....
Just don't plug it in!

Build a pair. They make for nice looking lamps in the sun room.

funny,
I have a No 4 that I am slowing making into a lamp,
and a dummy Lanchester that I may do the same,,, (or not,, it's a nice dummy)
thing is tho, my den is WW1 themed,, so I may need to take over another room,,
