Thread: Gun Safe Interior Dimensions?

  1. Default Gun Safe Interior Dimensions?

I am in the market for a new gun safe and want to be sure it comfortably holds my 1884 (without an attached bayonet).

For those of you that keep your Trapdoors in a safe, what interior size do you recommend?

Any particular pitfalls or clever observations?

    Thanks in advance.

buy 2x's the safe you need,

a 15 gun safe, for example, is made to hold 15 guns, as long as those 15 are single shots with no scopes, exposed hammers etc,

as far as height, most have a section for long (as in longer then normal) guns on one side or the back, and most also have shelves that are movable, as in you can adjust them where you want them,

haveing said that, Liberty is the brand I have, and have had one for 25+ yrs w/ no issues

not sure, and not at home, it's a franklin 35,

they apparently no longer make that model,

the Franklin 25 is 56" interior height, the 40 is 61" and the 50 is 68"

I think I will go with the Model 50.

I’d recommend a safe with the old fashioned mechanical combination dial.
