    Perhaps for some, but I will guess the majority of M14 type rifle owners would have no clue on assembling a trigger group. Especially when the mag catch is involved. After 53 years of messing with the M14 and taking them apart and putting them back together in boot camp in 1966, it is second nature. Heck, half the guys that come to my range with them didn't ever take the group out of the rifle until it no longer functioned.

    I never served, but my father did, and he was a Civilian weapons guy for the Army Reserve,

    had many a lessons on how to fix and assemble what he worked on,

    he handed me a SA M1A receiver and a Sendra AR once (not at the same time) and said here is your rifle, go put it together,

    that was around 1984,

    done plenty of each since

    Awesome. what a nice way to get started.
