    Default Here we go again!

@ the end of our Pastor's sermon yesterday he gave his resignation. Pastor David had led the Southern Baptist Church for ten years, upon the retiring of our 70 year old former pastor. It was a shock to the congregation as the pastor and his family had just bought a house a year ago and moved out of the parsonage. The Navy informed the Pastor on Friday and not even our Deacon's knew of what was coming. Pastor David had as a young man been an EM in the Navy on board a supply ship and is now going back to the Navy as a Chaplain. He reports to R.I. in 6 weeks and after 90 days of Chaplain's School he will be posted to a C.B. station in California.
It is with a sad heart to lose him and his family to another call, God has a different station and flock to attend to. Our Republic's Navy is getting a good Christian to minister to their people and that I am thankful of.

Finding pastors is very hard especially in small congregations. God is in control and our military members need good pastors too.
