    Default Mein Picklehaub... so falsch oder eigentlisch!?!

    I was given this picklehaub... I am wondering if it is real or a movie prop or cadet one? It’s all leather - looks old, but the strap is new.     I think I have kind of answered my own question by checking Wikipedia. They were in fact made of boiled leather. Only the ones worn by the cavalry were metal. The guy who wore this one must have been a pinheaded Prussian.
