doing a mile in LESS then 4 minutes is pretty FAST.
when I was 18 and in basic combat training at Ft. Knox, I ran the mile with combat boots, m14 rifle and steel pot in 5:58 and I just barely got the 100 points for that part of the PT test. after 6 minutes, you got less points. 15 minutes was FAIL.... (that comes out to 4 mph or walking fast).
