  1. Default Magazine question

Has anyone found G.I. issue magazines to have any disadvantages (except capacity) over aftermarket mags? I am thinking in terms of feeding non- 230gr RN ammo, durability, and similar functioning issues. I realize some aftermarket magazines are designed to be disassembled.

The GI magazines are some of the best ever built. I don't particularly care for the General Shaver magazine construction, but never heard anything about them not being reliable.

I really don't consider their 7 round capacity to be a disadvantage. I got a Chip McCormick eight round with a Government Model I purchased recently, and even empty it latches in very hard.

The GI magazines can easily be disassembled should they need cleaning.

I have a drawer full of them in various conditions, all GI mags, and have yet to have an issue with them
