    Default Question for John Beard...again.

This question is linked to my question about the stamped follower.

Would a Remington M1903 serialed in the 3.11 million range (barrel 5-42) be too early for a stamped follower? The rifle is all milled except the follower.

    Thank you

I do not show any Remington M1903 rifles in that serial range having stamped followers. If your rifle, however, got held back in the Remington factory for re-work, which was fairly common, then it could have been fitted with a stamped follower. But it would be an early stamped follower, not a later one.

    Thank you again, Mr. Beard

First chance I get I'll check the weld spots.
