Thread: Winchester M70

  1. Default Winchester M70

IMG_0721.jpgWhat are people's thoughts on this rifle with serial number 59365? I did not include it in my previous post and have considered selling it. Serial number puts it outside known WWII rifles. It has an oiled stock, supergrade sling swivels, and a dark green parkerized finish. Scope mount is solid and holds an unmarked Leatherwood range finding scope. I've heard the rifle was a test rifle for scopes and that it was Jim Leatherwoods personal rifle. Thoughts?

I have no idea if it is or it isn't a U.S. Military sniper rifle................but it does look like a nice rifle

Thank you. I was really hoping to get some more information on this.

I also have no clue on M70 rifles, but it looks to be a really nice rifle I wouldn't mind owning! Congratulations to it, and sorry for not being able to help!
