Default For the Pearl Harbor fanatic!

Sea Classics' December 2016 issue is all Pearl Harbor, covers everything about the attack plus the lead-in to war with the 1936 killing of a Seaman 1c on board AUGUSTA CA-31 in Shanghai, as well as the sinking of the USS PANAY. Interestingly enough there was widespread public protest about that sinking but Roosevelt ordered it censored by the newsreels! If you are interested in this history the issue will be well worth the $8.99 cover price. It has it all, the air attacks, midget subs, our reaction to it... just a big well done to them for a very good issue!

Now you've gotten me curious. Which party did they say was responsible for the sailor dying? At the time all the news reports claimed it was a "Chinese shell." Later investigation pointed to a Chinese light bomber dropping a bomb.
