Is the K on the top side of the handle next to the bomb? The Eddystone bolt on my M1917 Winchester has a G stamped next to the bomb. Could be an inspector's mark. There's a very small E (for Eddystone) on the under side of my bolt handle.

From C.S. Ferris' book, Kingsbury Machine Tool Corp made replacement bolts during WW11 so maybe the K is for them.

So, does anyone know what the "G" stands for?
