    Default ? Make by serial number

    I have a 1903-A4 # 37280** Who made it Name under scope base. I have no info on 03's.

    It's not an 03-A4. If it was a 03-A4, it was made by Remington.....they made all of them.....and you could read the name over on the left side of the receiver.

    Actually, if the "**" denote numbers, the receiver was probably made by Remington, but just a "regular" M1903A3, not a M1903A4.

    Sorry, forgot to say it was one made up for Aim Surplus. Very nice shooting rifle. Correct not a real A4.

    Your rifle, S/N 37280xx, was made by Smith-Corona in early 1943.

    That's what I get by just going my memory! In either case, the rifle is a M1903A3, not a M1903A4.
