    Default okc 3s bayonet

I picked up a okc bayonet with sheath at a local pawn shop for 40.00. From the wear it appears to have been worn of a long period of time (the brass snaps on the back are worn) Is there any way to know if it is military issue?

Technically, it is impossible to tell commercial from military contract as these are required to be "off the shelf" items as are the M9MPBS bayonets. Rarely a unit may mark the bayonet with a number for unit inventory use, but this is uncommon. The one currently in my collection came directly from a government property sale so I know that it was military, but once it leaves my possession it will no longer be possible for the next owner to be sure.

I was afraid of that. I will contact shop and try and find owner for history. They also had a camilus M3 and a K-Bar...I bought the M-3 for 100.00.Thanks very much, your knowledge is golden.
