Thread: Remington model 10 US marked

  1. Default Remington model 10 US marked

I just picked up a stripped model 10 receiver as a curiosity.
    It is U.S. marked.
Serial number is 77625 with a "U" over it.
Any idea if this was a trench or riot gun and when it was made?
    Thanks

  2. Default

The trench guns have martial markings on the receiver. The riot guns have them on the barrel. That number is pretty early for it to be a WW1 gun. Can you post any photos, particularly of the martial markings so that we can maybe determine if it is the real deal?

  3. Default

Thanks for the photos. The trench guns are not marked like that. They have a smaller US mark and ordnance bomb on the left forward side of the receiver.
