Thread: Thompson Center Renegade problem.

  1. Default Thompson Center Renegade problem.

I have a .54 cal. TC Renegade that I purchased used. I was attempting to shoot it for the second time the other day and could not cock it. It worked fine the last time time I fired it. The other day
the hammer would come back easily enough but would not cock. Any ideas? Anybody have a similar problem?

Does it has double set triggers? Sounds like a trigger out of adjustment. Google How to adjust double set triggers & go from there.

Check to see if the "tiny part" the "fly" droppedd off the lock mechanism.

Might email the Log Cabin in Lodi, Oh, they are a repair center for T/C.

Sounds like you maybe snapped either your sear spring or sear itself. Take the lock out of the stock and as you pull back the hammer you should see the sear trying to go first into the half cock then into full cock positions.
