Pictures are too small to really tell.The "S" in the U.S.M.C. looks wrong.The unit markings inside the flap look legit,outside ?

Look at the difference in the style of lettering on a genuine piece compared to what you have.You will see that style of seriphed letters on genuine pieces of most vintages of web gear.

Here are photos of two shovel covers marked to US Navy ships, these are the early WW1 covers and one is marked USMC

These USMC marked pouches used to be around a lot but difficult to find now
