Default Dating a Post War Springfield M1

I was shown a post war Springfield, that might be for sale. Is there any way to tell if the barrel is correct for the receiver? It seems to me that the post war serial number range info is a bit sketchy, unlike WW2 production.
Serial number 5,46?,??? range (don't recall the last 4 digits). Barrel date SA 1-55. All post war parts in like new condition. Crisp DOD cartouche. TE 2. Actually the whole rifle is like new condition.
    Thanks.

1-55 is right on the money for a 5,46....
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
