Yugo M48 Mauser Barrels

I have read that the Yugo M48 mausers were built with a bit more meat on them. Are the barrels threaded the same as a German 98 action?

Yes. But they won't fit the "intermediate" length (Turkish) Mausers. Wideners are selling new in wrap Yugo barrels for $55. I put one on a mismatched post war La Caruna 98 and it shoots very well indeed.
