I bought this at a show this weekend. I haven't really ever seen one before that is why I picked it up. It looks like a rebuilt 620 riot from WWII. I know more the Winchester military shotguns than the stevens and I'm curious what you guys think about this.
I thought most of these had non checkered wood. But I don't know if the stock would be correct for this or a replacement. Also this is parked, I imagine it was original blued?
The serial in the 20,000 range and I see the US marking and flaming bombs and the P proofings.
Also the buttplate is metal one that looks like it was made. It doesn't look factory.
What do you guys think? I am thinking it's probably a Vietnam era rebuild.
