  1. Default WW2 US Coast Guard issued Colt 1911a1

    Here is a Colt 1911a1 that was issued to a USCG Cutter COBB during WW2. The pistol was reported lost. The COBB was the first ship able to have Helicopters land on it. The pistol also has some interesting features, ie the 1911 slide stop, S marked receiver and a commercial to military transfer magazine

    Yes, it was lost in someones foot locker.

    Where ever it was lost at it was well preserved. Very nice piece.
