  1. Default 1861 Parker Hale Artillery Carbine Tumbler

The tumbler in my 1861 PH Artillery carbine (manufactured in the mid 1990's) had become worn from shooting and has since been repaired. The gunsmith told me it would have to be replaced eventually as the metal is fatigued.
Does anyone know if the original Enfield tumblers sold by S&S, or Dixie will be a drop in replacement or require slight modification? I found one original tumbler for PH in the UK and they wanted 55 pounds for it plus shipping. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Paul K

    Might check with Lodgewood-

    To determine what you have-
PH serial numbers...here are sets of manufacturing 'runs'
0000 to 9000 made in Birmingham
9000 to 14000 Birmingham barrels, rest made in Italy
    14000 Italian made.

    JBinIll,
Thank you. I already checked Lodgewood. It was no go.
Also, thanks for the serial # runs. Mine is SN 3XXX.
That is one of, if not my favorite gun. It has filled the freezer many times and I've won several things I have to dust from competitions.
