.17 Winchester Super Magnum

I have been reading up on this new Winchester rimfire cartridge. 3000 fps with a 20 grain bullet; 2600 with a 25 grain. Supposedly the fastest rimfire ever made. Out perfoms most other .17's downrange. in Since I only have an old Mossberg 22lr, I think I will pull the trigger on the Savage B Mag whenever they come out. Savage was saying late March. Now they are saying Mid April. I figure it will be June or July before all I ever see one.

In the meantime, I hope to get the Mossberg back together and do some plinking on the back 40.

Sounds to me like another 5mm Remington in the making. Don't fall for it you will regret it in the long run.

Yes it is but only after 40 years. The old Rem ammo is worth more than the guns.
