Anyone have a clue as to what this strap is used for? Was told it for the WW2 Officers bedroll but since have been told it is not. Any help would be great.

It's a Com-Bloc sling,probably SKS.

cool thanks since i have a sks i dont feel bad about spending the 20 bucks on what i was told someone i know needed.

Not SKS, AK-47. The SKS has a leather tab at each end. I sell these at $7.50 a piece, they are worth about $10 (I've had mine a while and they are slow to sell) Most people ask $20-$25
Whoever told you they were for a bedroll was WAY OFF!!!!!
I own firearms not to fight against my government, but to ensure I will not have to.
