Default Rick Crawford passed away this morning

Rick Crawford was well known in Texas Highpower shooting having shot on the Texas Service Rifle team, and it was Rick who kept the Texas Garand/03/Vintage shoots going. I am sad to report that he passed away suddenly this morning from a heart attack, according to Ken Gaby.

What a great guy I met him in the mid 90's at the Texas State Match held a camp Bullis. Sorry to hear that he was young.

Sorry to hear. Rick was a heck of a competitor, a great coach and mentor, and one hell of a nice guy. I have been out of the game for a few years with work and family responsibilities, but I really liked it when Rick and the Panola County folks showed up at the regionals in Beaumont. I wonder how many shooters got started or went distinguished because of Rick, and I wonder how many Army designated marksmen were effective in combat (and how many boots lives were saved) from the free training that Rick provided on his own time after 2001. We are diminished.
