    Default school me on large ring 98s.

    I need to know what trigger guard screw distances dimenions there are for 98s militarys.

    The stanadr is 7 7/8 inches what are any others?? thanks

    As for military Mausers there are only two lengths, that I know of. The FN model 24 has so-called intermediate length, about 1/4 -3/8 " shorter. (to get a accurate measure the TG would have to be pulled, am not going to do that) They can be told apart by capture screw in front of TG screw on standard action and behind on the shorter action. Sporter rifles had several different lengths. Keep in mind that a model number given a rifle by a using country may not be the same as a factory number. A Lithuanian M-24 is a FN model 30, for instance.
