A few years ago we had an eighty-some year old veteran of Tarawa shoot at our Veterans Appreciation Day event; he was a Marine sniper. Due to a shoulder injury he did have to use one of the Springfield .22s, but as you can see he could still shoot. Unfortunately he has since passed away.
