I have a shot at 1903 #1231893, which appears to be a very nice 1921 NM rifle. Bbl dated 10-21. S stock, WES cartouche, bright crisp bore, proper firing proof, muzzle is .05 and throat less than 1.0, star gauged, properly bedded and comes apart easily, beautiful inside and out. Service checkered buttplate. Everything looks right. Barrel bears stamp 5306 under a 90 degree S, 2 1/2 " forward of the rear sight, and looks to me to be a star gauge mark.

Trouble is, the gun is not listed as a NM in my sole reference, SRS list dated 1976. #s 1231879 and 1231899 are, but not this one, dammit. My whole stash of gun money is involved. High drama. I'm in love.

Can any of you guys who have all the volumes of SRS data do a check mos'ricky-tick? I and my descendants will inscribe your name in the book of life….

Thanks in advance. Dokcop.
