    Default Wood Handle PAL M4

I have always wanted one of these. I finally broke down and bought one the other day. I have seen them on the internet, but have never actually had one in hand. I'm just wondering what you guys think. I have it pictured with another PAL M4 that I have. I do notice a couple of little differences. I do realize that the peening on the tang will be different. The stamping on the guard is off a bit and the curve on the top of the blade, where the sharp edge ends, is at a sharper angle.

    Any comment would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Greg V

I have one also. Found it in Fl. at a flea market. Accepted story is that they were redone in Okinawa with native wood. Can't prove or disprove it. I had a picture of a soldier in the Korean war that had one on his ammo belt. I maybe able to find it. Images of mine before I got me new camera...

Doug- You have been misinformed.American Cutlery Co. made trench knives in WW1. ACC in WW2 was "Aerial" Cutlery Co, different outfit. They eventually changed the stamp on their bayonets to Aerial, but not after they produced a bunch of M3 Trench knives, and M4 Bayonets. A whole bunch of us collectors and writers thought that for years. SKIP

Thanks. I do remember it was Aerial now. Sleep really helps clear my thinking.
