Default The Battleship New Jersey - escapes ...

Now that's my idea of a warship. Those huge 16" guns
and her huge size make her an awsome sight. I saw her
come into San Francisco Bay back in the mid sixties.
Pennants flying, fireboats squirting, plus everybody who
owned a boat was out there. It was quite a spectacle.
Unfortunately she won't be free for long.

    She was awesome, Was.
Unfortunately air power doomed the big BattleWagons. As the Japanese & Germans can confirm.
But, We still shouldn't forget them.

Back in the mid 60's, I toured the North Carolina battleship. Very intersting!

She was deployed to Viet Nam. My brigade was the first to shoot her "from the ground."
