Default Bedbugs are on the way to bug you ...

If you ride on a bus or a plane or stay at a motel
and suddenly start itching, then check the underside
of your mattress - if you dare.
It seems nothing kills them except your trusty hammer.
If you stay home, never go out, you'll stay safe.

They're not racist and they don't discriminate - they bite anyone.

If you stay at an infested motel they get into your luggage and you take them home where they breed and bite. Yet the hotels act like it's no big deal. If you complain they will offer you a different room. It happens at expensive hotels too where you would least expect it.

If you buy something that has to be delivered it may house bedbugs. These same delivery trucks that deliver new furniture also pickup the old furniture. Some old/used furniture picked up have the bugs and they sometimes stay in the trucks.

Hasn't happened to me yet. My wife is very cautious about things like this.

"Thermal remediation" seems to be the trick. basically empty the residence & blow screaming hot air in foe several hours.
