    That's what I told them 5 years ago at the sheriff's office when I renewed my pistol permit. Due to age my rates were lowered to $20 per year. I told them there should be an increase--not a decrease cause we're way more apt to blast someone at our age.

    My last renewal was Free. No charge for seniors in Ohio. Not a bad deal I suppose.

    Just renewed. In my county it has changed. You can still pay by the year or every 5 years but now they offer non-expiring permits.

    Under 60 = $300

    Over 60 = $150

    All done on line now. They used my DL picture. I guess they will issue a new permit every so often with the most recent DL photo? Time will tell, but unless they change the rules I've never have to apply/renew again.
