Daniel Day-Lewis. He's won three best actor Oscars. No one else has done that.

I haven't seen much in the entire series to equal the scene in Skyfall where Judi Dench's "M" dies in Bond's arms. It is a scene worthy of heavy scrutiny. Plenty of visual cues in there for a scene with minimal dialogue.

Bond and M have a connection, and it proved he was more than a Blunt Instrument

No male actor has ever won more than three Oscars but two others. Jack Nicholson and Walter Brennan also won three... You are correct Daniel Day-Lewis is a great talent, a very good case can be made that he's the greatest actor of his generation, male or female.

Selleck and Elliot have been my favorites. I think Selleck was very good in the Jesse Stone series.

    Adding to comedy actors:

    Tim Allen (Home Improvement)

Ed O'Neill (Married with children, Modern family)

I liked Married, but I've watched about thirty seconds of Modern Family.

Most everyone named is 60+ years old. Actors younger than 60 are within our generation too but apparently suck.

    Many good actors are gone.

Who do the young people like? What do they have to look forward to? AI ? It may not be a bad thing as I see this being the beginning of the end of "Hollywood".

    young person wise,

Anne Hathaway, besides being easy on the eyes, is a decent actor

Ryan Gosling (Bladerunner 2049 and others) as well as Jared Leto are decent actors,
