    Default The 45-70 Lee Navy

Now this really is too cool for school. This rifle should have made every military rifle in the world obsolete the first day of production in 1879. Way, way too far ahead of its time.

REALLY good video. It's a pleasure to listen to a man who knows what they are talking about. I am fortunate enough to own an 1885, but have never shot it. That may change. From the late Gene Myzkowski's excellent book, I know that mine was one of the 280 isssued to the "California Naval Battalion".

That was a great YouTube. The guy has a decent grasp of history aNd the conditions under which the military of the time had to work.
