    Default Winchester M1 Carbine ser# 0

    Was visiting a friends gunshop this morning and he showed me a Winchester M1 Carbine with a serial number of 0 which he said was part of an estate he had just picked up. Story was it was the first carbine made by Winchester here in CT.

    Anyone know the history of such an item?
