This is on the left rail. Is this German or Czech?? I been looking all over the internet but really can't find an answer.
There is a gun thus marked coming up on an auction and I may try and bid? But I need to know what it is first.

Can't tell if its German or Czech from the info you've given but VR69 was a Yugoslav shop that refurbished captured Mausers for the Yugos after WWII. The Yugoslavs after WW II had bunches of captured 98Ks and VZ 24s that they refurbed and put back into service.
