Thread: Gas prices?

    In 1963, I worked at a Texaco full service gas station. Gas was about $0.25 per gallon and we gave Green Stamps with any and all purchases.
    Today, Aug. 8, I see gas dropped $0.10 per gallon! Was at $4.00, now $3.90.

    That "Tiger in your tank" ad campaign where you got a Tail
    to hang out of your trunk.
    I still have the Tail although I never used it.

    They are still made, just not for the same purpose. Down here you see a few representing the Auburn Tiger fans. It never made much sense to me though to represent you had an Auburn football player locked up in the trunk of your car with it's tail dangling outside.

    Here where I am regular is just shy of $5 gallon.
    I have to use the 89 or else ping going uphill.

    In Texas about 1972 we could turn in a dozen soda bottles and get enough change for gas to get us to work and back.
    If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
