    I can't view Twitter---not a member.

Wonder if the M14 is on the Ukraine side or Russia? If Russia it may have been supplied by the Chinese since they bought our rights to it. If Ukrainian they may have picked up one from a dead Russian soldier?

I didn't think we had that many left since they had been destroyed and sold off.

I suspect they came from one of the Baltic States. We gave thousands of them to Latvia when they joined NATO and I bet the other Baltics got some too. They aren't front line rifles there so were probably on the top of the list for a donation. I bet logistics are a joy in The Ukraine right now with the hodge podge of stuff they've been given. Kel Tech even sent over a big lot of Sub2000 folding 9mm carbines .

while Clinton did feed a good number of them to Capt Crunch, they also recalled all the Team M14's afterwards, since they did not have as many as needed to fill in or use in the Gulf,

most of those were fairly worn, and built in NM style, so they were rebuilt, Smith (not S&W) redid a ton of them,

so we have them, just not in piles like we did before, and as Art mentinoed, we had given some away as well,

M14, preferred in Vietnam. That's what we carried until the M16 showed up. Yeah, it was heavy with 200+ rounds in mags, but it did the job!
