    Default what webley revolvers are safe to shoot smokeless powder

    hello , I am seeking to buy a .455 Webley revolver and very curious.
    as the British adopted Cordite early ,
    what webley revolvers are safe to shoot smokeless powder ??

    I know very little about the Webley's but found this.

    Per the article below:

    "(The .38 Webley Mk III used black powder cartridges, as did the .455 Webley Mk IV; they should not be fired with the smokeless powder cartridges developed for the .38 Webley Mk IV and .455 Webley Mk V and Mk VI.)"

    which Webley? as in what era?

    I would think 700x loads would work fine in most if not all revolvers, except maybe some of the older BP era stuff, and then just use some BP or BP substitute


    BTW, as far as reloading goes,, what you like matters not, it is what the firearm likes
