Bore scope vs. SAAMI dimensions
I bought a ridgid bore scope some years back and documented some barrels with it.
Resently I used it to examine brass and today I set it to view the leed area of a rifle chamber.
Using a paperclip, I found where the case mouth should end up when a case is chambered.
With the scope still in place, I pushed an empty case into the chamber to see how much room was left past the case mouth before I trimed the case.
It was very interesting.
YES, I am easily entertained. And I like tools.
Has anyone mastered the measuring funtions in the software for these cheap borescopes?
It looks like measurements can be made from the image in the software and that could be useful to compare things to SAAMI spec.
