That battle sight notch is pretty tight (0.045" ?). I ran across cap slides advertised as "Skirmish Match" items, with both offset and enlarged (to 0.055") notches. These were said to be available at the National Matches. Comments? Regards, Bill

Military shooting teams at the National Matches complained about issues with sighting and sight misalignment. But nefarious "customization" or correction was not allowed and strictly enforced. Army Ordnance responded to the complaints by shipping the National Match rifles with a selection of sight slides and offsets to accommodate preferences and/or correct for any errors. You apparently have some of those.

Amazing the work arounds that SA came up with to deal with the less than ideal 03 sights. Do very much wonder why the issues were not simply addressed by opening up the peep/slide notches and replace the front sights as w/ the USMC sights. Sincerely. bruce.
