Default Gear from the last century.

While packing for vacation next month I came across a forgotten spare range bag from the last century century. Included were Ray Vin sight black burner some tools a spare shooting coat and this gem. Any of you shooters ever use one of these pulse killer slings? Now that John 4570govt is challenging all on the M14BR forum with his slung up prone expertise, I am really going to work harder at getting back into it. Whatta Hobby!

I had an old Freeland no pulse at one time, but think I sold it on ebay years ago

IIRC Jim Owens books show you how to rig up a standard leather sling no pulse style,

Is that procedure the "reversed sling", which the frog/hooks are facing the stock?

When engaged in the forward sling loop, they are facing down and away from the stock. The go into the loop from the rear.
