Default Now This is Really Different

Mick Jagger is going to be 80 soon and still "rocks on." He's the pretty boy of the group .

Enjoy, even if you don't care for the "Stoners," or Texas.

On a vaguely similar note back 1974 Paul McCartney's first group after the Beatles (Wings) was on an off-year as far as concert tours go. The group came to Tennessee to visit Curly Putman Jr., a song writer at the time who's most popular song was "The Green Green Grass of Home".

Due to the secrecy of being in the U.S. they chose to avoid hotels and liked "Juniors" farm so they made him a substantial $ offer to stay at the farm for a couple of weeks. At the time Curly Putman was pretty heavy in debt and later said the $ helped him pay down his bills and mortgage. He didn't want to "rent" out his place but, hey, this was Paul McCartney so he left and took a vacation with his wife and family. Paul and his wife Linda discovered Curly's new Honda dirt bike and rode it all over Nashville with no one knowing who they were.

While in Nashville the group recorded a song dedicated to Curly called "Juniors Farm", a meaningless song done in fun but it made the charts.

When Curly returned from his 2 week vacation, drove up his driveway and approached his home Paul and the group had gathered on the front porch and sang "The Green Green Grass of Home".

Here's a couple of photo's of that time era.

Allen, That's a cool story about McCartney and his Tennessee adventure. I've always been a big Beatles fan. Also like a lot of the stuff he did with Wings.
