    You guys are all great . I know this is the place for good information. I have pulled the Win. apart and it is all Win. by the book. I like it and think it's a keeper. I also picked a IBM last week that has not been through the rebuild program. 3877000. Has flip sight, typ 1 band, round bolt. low wood. Everything has the right markings and nice finish and great stock. I would send a picture but my computer won't do it now. I need to get it fixed.

    You have a 2nd production run band. The first was a letter C lined up with the middle of the swivel. The second was one that lined up below the center towards the bottom of the swivel. These were often found on late production or rebuilt carbines. These bands were made by C. Cowles and Co. for Winchester.
