Night of the Comet
I saw this last night after having previously seen it in the 1980s.
The movie is a sci fi flick about two nubile "valley girls" who survive a mass extinction of humanity followed by the predations of zombie-like contaminated survivors (sound familiar.) They hook up with a Latino survivor played by Paul Beltran and become the new beginning.
There are some interesting quirks. The girls are daughters of a US Army Officer who has taught them to be good with guns, really good. At one point they have a MAC 10 jam and the younger girl says "that's the trouble with these things. If Daddy was here he would have gotten us Uzis" or words to that effect.
Fluff entertainment but not bad if you aren't paying for it
