It is no different than forms that now read next of kin ... spouse rather than husband/wife. Those who win the elections make the rules. If we want things to be different, we have to win elections. Otherwise, the left will continue to make appointments to administration positions, etc., where decisions like this will continue to be made. Sincerely. bruce.

Speaking of appointments, could you ever imagine a bunch as inept as the current crop of Biden appointees? One male appointee even had to take off a month to have a baby.

The father taking time off is not at all unusual. Especially if they don't have family in the DC area, and possibly if the labor/recovery were challenging.

How does one even go about rating the job performance of the Transportation Secretary?
