    Default Trapdoor Carbine Serial number

    Looking at a purchase,
Can anyone tell me if the serial number 134,048 is a carbine, or rifle?
I can't find the serial #'s breaking them down to rifle or carbine.
    Thank you!

Numbers were random no set blocks for rifles and carbines. There are areas where one is more common than others. Carbines show up in the 133 and 135 range but SRS logged no carbines in the 134 range. However this does not mean you are not looking at a real carbine. Compare it to as many on line as you can find. If its an online sale let us know where and we could give some kind of opinion. If a private sale send pictures to one of the posters here for their views of it. Sorry could not be of more help.

The old trick I always used to determine weather a cut down rifle or original carbine bbl is to put a dime over the muzzle. If a carbine barrel it will fit the dia with no over hang.
